So today I choose

God is a promise keeping God. He is ever faithful. When we are going through the hard times, it’s difficult though to see that anything could be good.

I wish I had that kind of faith. The kind of faith that chooses to see the promises of God when I am feeling my weakest. The kind of faith that can split the sea when my circumstances seem impossible. I wish I had the kind of faith that would ease me of worry.

But I still have faith. And I still have hope. Jesus said all it takes is faith as tiny as a mustard seed. So today I choose to trust the promises of God. I choose to believe that even in the midst of all the bad I am facing today, yesterday, honestly for while now that God is up to something good. I will choose to see the blessings when all I see is the pain.

  1. 1 Samuel 30.6

And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.
