There is a misconception that those who are alone are lonely. What I have come to learn is that alone and lonely are two different things. You can be surrounded by a sea of people and yet feel so lonely. You could be in a relationship or married and still have days where you feel completely alone.
It is possible to be married and feel alone. It is also possible to be single and not feel lonely. Our brains are wired for connection and yet not everyone can fulfill that deep longing inside us. God created us for community and loneliness is not a reflection of our relationship status but the reflection of how we connect with others and ourselves.
I don’t know what season of life you are in, but I do know this, the truth of tears hidden behind the scars of our eyes reveal the connections of the heart.
