I am truly inspired by this selfless act of kindness. And it’s true, the culture we live in today doesn’t promote kindness, instead it all about the “me” attitude. What can I get or achieve. It’s not in the size of the giving but rather the heart we do it with. This man gave everything he had in that moment for someone’s safety and well-being. How many of us are willing to do so? Regardless of where this story took place, how many of us just passed by this Marine? Or any marine? Or anyone? How many of us would have stopped to this help this lady?

It is such an encouragement to see goodness in the midst of so much darkness.
