Surviving Night Shift

This week I completed my first two weeks of night shift.  Yikes!

So backing up, I started a new job about a month and half ago.  Still a PICU nurse though.  I don’t think I could do anything different, kids are the best.  This new job is amazing so far.  I am so thankful that God brought this opportunity at the time he did.  Though October kicked me in the butt, the one good thing is that I’m happy I made this switch.

The night shift crew loves to talk!  Which works out well, it makes the night go faster.  I’m still trying to figure out my schedule on my days off.  When do I wake up?  What if I get sleepy during the day?  How late do I sleep?  What coffee has the most caffeine?  How do I configure a workout routine into my new schedule?  How do I still feel like I’m living a normal life?  How do I make time for dating?  Any suggestions will be most appreciated friends!
