As summer comes to a close, I can’t help but feel end of summer blues. It came so quickly and just like that, it’s over. The hot summer days with late night strolls, the craving for some Italian ice, and the touch of summer sun against my skin. Oh how quickly those days pass us by.
Seasons, they come and they go. Some seasons are fast, they vanish in a blink of an eye and it’s memory is all we have to hold on to. And yet, others last longer, they drag and drain every ounce of energy from you. But with each season comes a purpose. A purpose that was meant for you.
Relationships are like seasons. Some are brief and some last a while, and some last a life time. It’s hard to tell which is which. We want all the relationships we enter into to last a long time, whether it’s a friendship or a romantic relationship. But regardless of which, these relationships should produce fruit and grow. And sometimes, they don’t. Then a moment comes, it’s time to say goodbye to summer.
Oh how I shall miss you, your memory is etched in me and until we meet again. And just has it is written, “we always thank God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers”.
